Copyright and terms

You can use photos on JohnKane.com for personal non-profit use. For instance, if you want to use a photo from my site as wallpaper or a screensaver, go for it.

If you're going to post on the web or otherwise re-use my images, or in any way make a buck, please ask me first. Just click the contact button and pop me a note. If it's for personal or non-profit use, I'm almost always going to say yes. If you're a park or a zoo, I'm happy to give you high res files if you need them, or rights to use on the web. For personal and non-profit generally all I ask for is a credit and web link in return:

DJ's, if I've taken a picture of you and you'd like to use it, have at it! All I ask for is a credit and link in return.  Please provide a hyperlink and not just a text link.

If it's for commercial use (for instance a site supported in part by advertising) please ask first. At the very least I will require a credit and web link. In general it is good to be paid. As Mr. Krab says, I like money!
